In conformity with the basic concepts of Ayurveda, the Pharmacy has placed before itself certain basic objectives. These are:

• Research into the ancient texts and formulae in the context of the needs of today.
• Standardisation of production techniques and replication of the methods as stated in the Ayurvedic texts.
• Promotion of a cheap and holistic concept of medicine as an alternative or complement to the allopathic and other systems of treatment.
• Placing emphasis on prevention rather on treatment of disease. This requires formulations that bolster the immune system and tone up the health of the individual, overall.
• Promote a general awareness among the common people about the health-giving properties of herbs.
• To provide education in Ayurveda in a modern and scientific manner.
• To work for preservation of the rare Himalayan herbs and the environment they require for their sustenance. To lobby for government policies in this regard.
